OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
Honesty and Transparency
At Peninsula Poodles and Groodles, we are rigorous in screening and selecting the right home for each animal. If we do not think your home is the best place for them, we will redirect you to a different Dog Breeder who might be a better fit.
Having said that, there is no better feeling than when we match one of our precious pets with their caring new owner. It’s why we put so much time, love and effort into ensuring that every new family are fully informed about our breeding and adoption philosophies.
We’ve learned a lot about the process and will are still learning. Our priority to you, the new owner is that you are able to share with us your wish list for your new family member and that we are able to match our pups as closely as possible to those requirements. We are here to guide you and to utilise our experience to ensure that you feel secure and confident in your decision.
Once you have chosen your new companion we will ask for a deposit to hold your pup. We will keep you fully informed with photos and news of your beautiful new baby until the time comes to finally meet him or her. As you can understand, we cannot allow people to meet their pups until they have had their first vaccinations and we follow a very strict hygiene protocol to ensure that our pups are protected from external parasites that our visitors may bring in with them.
At eight weeks, your pup will be ready to leave their littermates and go home with you. We sign a breeders health guarantee for your peace of mind and provide 6 weeks of pet insurance to cover you in the early weeks should something unforeseeable occur. We organise the change ownership and provide you with all the information you need to help with a smooth transition from our home to yours. As breeders we are here with support for the life of your pup and also guarantee that your dog will never be without a home. If for any reason you are no longer able to keep your pup with you, we are here to re-home him or her and to ensure that they will always have love, food and protection for the duration of their lives.
